Why Sunrise uses
the chin?
The brain controls opening of the upper airways during sleep through the muscles of the throat. These are attached to a mobile bone, the mandible.
The study of mandibular movements makes it possible to closely analyse the signals the brain sends during the night.

How does the Sunrise sleep test work?
Sunrise aims to make sleep testing as simple as having a good night's sleep! Our sensor is certified for the diagnosis of sleep apnea. Connect the small sensor with your smartphone via the Sunrise App (free) and stick it on your chin before going to sleep. The sensor will record all needed information during your sleep for creating a report that you receive when you wake up, directly on your smartphone! You may then choose to share these results with your doctor or get an appointment with one of our partner sleep specialists to start treatment if it is needed. Easy! -
Is one night enough for an accurate diagnosis?
Many people will be able to get a true picture of their sleep after a night of analysis. Nevertheless, the more nights tested the more precise and rich the obtained data is. For people who need or wish to repeat the test over several nights because they know that there are nights when they sleep better than others, it is better to buy 2 or 3 sensors.
